Sangria

“Sangria” is Spanish Alcoholic Beverage and has a world-wide fame ! Nowadays it is especially consumed by young people in the parties, organisations and meetings. There are lots of different recipes to prepare “Sangria” so it is varied. For this reason the alcohol percentage, the sweetness and the taste can be changeable. Basically it consists of wine, sugar, fruit juice and some slices of these fruits. Selection of fruits can be variable according to the country, season, personal preference however generally orange juice, lemon juice, pineapple juice are preferred as a fruit juice. In terms of solid fruit material, orange, apple, pear can be selected. Also some “Sangria lovers” don’t forget to add some Rum in order to give a strong taste and increase the alcohol content.
I tasted this beautiful beverage two years ago firstly thanks to my Spanish friend. Although it has basic ingredients, the taste is very particular and the preparation time is very short. So if you are thinking of inviting some friends, it is time to offer them “Sangria” ! Besides it is a Spanish drink, it is also very popular in Europe. In addition, in Italy you can find ready to drink, bottled sangria in some supermarkets such as Carrefour with its brand.

My personal advice is that: You should add the fruit juice as much as possible. This will give a great taste to your “Sangria”.

Even though the sangria which is being sold in Carrefour is not the same as the ones in Spain (Barcelona especially), I like it. Great post by the way, keep up the good work.
