Review: Gelateria Natale - Lecce

Today, I will share my comments on the blog about an ice cream parlor in Lecce. I’m talking about the best ice cream in Lecce, the ice cream of Gelateria Natale.

Till now, I traveled a lot in Europe and in my opinion the homeland of the best home-made ice cream is Italy. Therefore, I really tried to taste different ice creams of different parlors both in South and North Italy. I think that South Italy is one step ahead in terms of the variety of the ice creams and the taste.  On this blog, you can find lots of entries which involve my comments about different ice creams. 

In this frame, among the different tastes of the rich Puglia cuisine, ice cream of Puglia took my attraction as well. I’m extremely amazed of the cuisine of Puglia. Of course, in the next entries I’ll try to mention the most delicious components of the Puglia cuisine, however today I’m going to focus on the yummy ice cream of Lecce and I’ll share my impression about the “gelateria natale”.

During my visit in Puglia, I was so happy. I really loved this region and lovely people. I had a great chance to visit small towns, Otranto and Gallipoli and besides, I’ve been in Lecce. In my opinion, Lecce is one of the most beautiful cities in Italy. Due to the rich Baroque architectural monuments found in the city, Lecce is commonly nicknamed "The Florence of the South".

Lecce is an amazing city. One day, I will be back.

My comments on outstanding pastry shop -Natale-, are going to be specifically about the ice creams since; I did not have a chance to taste its desserts and pastries. However, it will be a good reason for me next time to go to visit Lecce again, just because of the desserts. There are numerous different types of desserts and all seem like they are yummy. 

In gelateria natale, among different ice cream types, I tried the pistachio and coconut ice cream. Especially the pistachio was wonderful. These two are my favorite types of ice-cream and the combination of these tastes is amazing. 

The quality of the cream (panna) was also so high. Still the taste is in my mind because they don’t use a simple cream on ice cream.

Geleteria Natale is so popular thanks to its central location. It has a big fame due to the fact that it not only has delicious ice creams but also it’s the place that you can find delicious desserts and fantastic pastries. Everything is beautiful and delicious, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Price range of ice creams: 3 € - 5 €. Thanks to the reasonable prices, good service and delicious ice creams it deserves 5 stars out of 5. Gelateria Natale is also ranked #11 of 312 restaurants in Lecce on Tripadvisor.
