Flying with TURKISH AIRLINES II

After the first article about the Turkish Airlines’ Food Service, today I would like to continue with the Beverage Menu and other types of menus of Turkish Airlines. The first entry is got the attention by my followers! Thank youuuu :)

 Who is in the kitchen today? This sentence is welcoming you, when you take the menu.

Like the food menu, the beverage menu is also offering you different alternatives. From whiskey to Raki, from vine types to soft drinks, the menu is very optional. I couldn’t believe that it’s a food menu of a flight, for me it would be the menu of a restaurant. Here are the BEVERAGES;

SPIRITS – Whisky, Gin, Vodka, Raki

WINES – Selected Turkish and International Wines

BEERS – Tuborg, Efes Pilsen (Turkish Beer Producer)

JUICES – Orange, Tomato, Sour cherry, Apple

SOFT DRINKS – Cola, Cola Light, Ayran, Mineral Water, Water

HOT DRINKS – Coffee, Tea

What do you think about “Menu” now? Isn’t it incredible? Guess what? I ordered RAKI from this menu as a beverage and I could drink this tasty typical Turkish Alcoholic Drink even before arriving to Turkey. What a pleasure!

 Delicious Turkish Drink, RAKI ! It's an amazing thing to drink Rakı, when you are eating tasty foods and you are above the clouds!

Their expert chefs prepare their carefully selected menus using only fresh ingredients in order to entertain the passengers with best tastes of the world and traditional specialties of Turkey. For sure, the tastes in your mouth will last beyond your journey.

What do you think about foods? They sound good? As I said before, it's more than a flight. Like to foods are served in restaurant not in the plane. All the types are so tasty.

 Turkish Airlines is currently an official sponsor of FC Barcelona, Manchester United F.C., Maroussi Basketball Club, Valencia Basket Club and the Turkish Airlines Euro league Basketball. The airline also has Kobe Bryant as its brand promotion ambassador and Caroline Wozniacki, the No. 1 female player in the 2010 and 2011 tennis season, has become the new face promoting Turkish Airlines Business Class and Comfort Class through 2013.

Other airline companies that are owned or co-owned by Turkish Airlines include AnadoluJet, North Cyprus Airlines, SunExpress and B&H Airlines. Turkish Airlines is in talks with JAT of Serbia to establish a new company to replace JAT Airways, which is in debt.

Moreover, you can select your menu while you are buying the flight ticket online. There are lots of alternatives. For example, if you are vegetarian, you can have a vegetarian menu. Otherwise, if you have Celiac disease, you can prefer gluten free menu. You can select diabetic menu, or low fat menu as well. There are numerous types of different menus which can be selected in advance. 

 Even it's a vegetarian menu, it seems very yummy!!! Light salad, fish with potatoes and fresh fruits! 

What’s more, they don't care how much you eat. If you like it very much, you can order the second one. For example, I departed from Naples to Istanbul with my friends. And one of my friends, when he was buying the ticket online, he selected vegetarian menu by mistake. For that reason, first vegetarian menu was served to him. However, when we said that he selected this menu accidentally, they said to us: we'll look to our stock, if there are more available normal menus, we can also offer normal menu to him. Then our friend started to have this vegetarian meal. Few minutes later, hostess came with normal menu and he continued his meal with normal menu. For them, your satisfaction is the most important thing.

 After these beautiful meals, now are you ready for tea or coffee ! I took tea :) What a joyful time we had above the clouds !!!
