Review: Gelateria Gerry - Salerno

When spring arrives to Salerno, it is one of the best things is having an ice-cream. During summer, the sweetest way to freshen up yourself is eating ice cream. That’s why I’ve been always posting entries about ice cream types or sorbets. This entry will be again also about one of the ice-cream parlour which is well located in the historic town center.

In my opinion, Gerry deserves 5 stars out of 5 due to the fact that, thes taff here are all friendly and smiling, the prices are really cheap and they sell really delicious ice creams.

If you haven’t tasted the ice cream of Gerry, it means that you haven’t tasted the real ice cream yet. It’s really amazing! Especially, the pistachio type is really delicious. I love eating it. Also this place deserves a big compliment due to the reasonoable prices. Even if the prices are low, one you pay only 1.30 € for the smallest one, you will have a lot of ice cream. For the smallest one, you can chose 2 different types of ice cream. Last time when I went there, my preference was “Pistachio” and “Hazelnut”. 

This is the moment of happiness. 

The location of the ice cream parlour is so central. Therefore, especially on weekends it’s possible to see a big crowd in front of the “Gerry”. For me, Gerry is one of the most special ice cream palour There are lots of different types of ice creams which you can find in Gerry. According to your preference, you can choose whatever you want, and create your own combination. 

 Cute historic city center of Salerno. I love strolling here when the weather is nice. It's not chaotic or crowded like Naples. Small streets, old buildings and typical Italian city center.

Paying only 1.30 € and having delicious ice cream. Nobody wants more. 

For me, the smallest cone is enough, even sometimes can't finish all of them. I'm very curious about the people who want to take a cone which cost 3.00 €. It should be huge! 

There are numerous types of ice creams. Some remarkable ones are: Tiramisu, Banana, Yogurt, Coffee, Coco, Yogurt with Fruits,  Hazelnut, Frutti di Bosco (Fruits of the Forest)

 "Ricotta e Pere" is also one of most typical ice cream of this region. Actually, it's kind of a dessert however it's possible also to find the ice cream type of this taste. It consists of the ricotta cheese and pear. It's so delicious. I recommend you to taste also this one. !
