Foods and Food Products in Netherlands I
Couple of months ago, I visited Netherlands. During the trip, I noticed that the variety of the foods in Netherlands is amazing. From Argentina cuisine to Turkish cuisine, from the Americans eating style to Arabic restaurants you can see various tastes in the same country and with every different taste you can feel yourself in another place. Today I would like to share my impressions about the cuisine of the Netherlands. Actually, it is very difficult to say that Netherland is a country that has a specific cuisine and foods. However, it does not mean that you cannot taste delicious foods there. Of course, lots of restaurants and street vendors serving up delicious foods. Although the prices unfortunately are quite high, generally you are forgetting how much you’ve paid because of the delicious foods that are satisfying your expectations.
Turkish Durum. Doner Kebab is inside of the bread with other ingredients such as lettuce, tomatoes, spices.
In Amsterdam, directly you can realize that there are lots of Argentine restaurants. I don’t know why, but I think that Dutch people really like this cuisine. Besides, there are numerous Turkish restaurants due to the fact that the population of the Turks is very high in Netherlands. Turkish people are living there like other Dutch people and try to keep on their traditions. For that reason, you can come across lots of Turkish restaurants and markets that are selling typical Turkish foods. For me, it was very interesting experience to see Turkish foods and food products in Europe. Although like all other countries Turkey has also particular tastes, food products that do not exist in Europe, in Netherlands, it is possible to find them.
Typical Turkish Drink: Ayran: Yoghurt, Water, Salt and hot pickle for accompanying Kebab.
Turkish Pasta Types imported. The Brand "Nuhun Ankara" Although pasta is available all over the world, Turkish people don't forget to export also Pasta to Europe. I don't know why because the taste is always the same.
Ready to cook soups. Apart from the European people's eating habits, Turks like to drink soup as starter before eating the main course. For that reason, in Turkey, there are lots of different kinds of soups from different brands. For me, it was really surprising to see them in Eindovhen in one Turkish Market.
